The launch has already begun
The Ocean Race Europe will open on the Kiellinie on 6 August, with the start on 10 August. For the Kiel marketing team and many others, however, the start has long since begun.
The yachts of the seven participating teams are on their way, the pontoons at the Blücherbrücke are ready. On land, meanwhile, preparations are in full swing.
It's hard to believe that hundreds of thousands of people will be frolicking on the Reventlouwiese in a week's time
From the Admiralsbrücke at the southern end (where the research vessel ALKOR will be moored) to the Reventlouwiese and the paddock and boats at the Blücherbrücke, the Ocean Live Park will provide a varied programme with a family programme, marine conservation camp, Ocean Dome (360° cinema), stage and many partner pagodas. Already on site: the Bio-Mobile.

The entire infrastructure is being set up: From the security concept and WiFi to the water supply, toilets and bicycle parking spaces. Only one thing will remain as the people of Kiel are used to: The ferries on the Kiel Fjord will continue to sail on the Kiel Fjord.
