A Job with a View of Kiel Fjord – Right in the Heart of Kiel

We are part of Kiel’s DNA. In 2024 alone, we handled 7.6 million tonnes of cargo and welcomed 2.7 million ferry and cruise passengers. As Germany’s northernmost state, Schleswig-Holstein has long-standing ties to Scandinavia. Our ferry to Klaipeda, Lithuania, is one of the key freight links between Germany and the Baltic States. RoRo ships from SCA deliver massive paper rolls from Sweden several times a week – premium packaging material heading by rail or road from Kiel to Central Europe.

Kiel is also a favourite for the world’s leading cruise lines – AIDA, TUI, MSC, Costa, and even North American giants like Norwegian Cruise Line and Holland America Line. In 2024, 1.1 million cruise guests made us one of Northern Europe’s busiest cruise ports. The summer streets of Kiel bustle with international visitors – and our company is just as diverse, with over 400 employees from more than a dozen nations.

PORT OF KIEL – Come on board.

Future? Secure. Ports are the beating heart of the global economy – and that makes us a safe employer in any weather. But safety alone isn’t enough. We want to move things forward – literally – with passion and responsibility, shaping the maritime world of tomorrow.
