The Ocean Race 2023 Kiel Fly-By

In no other harbour was the race feeling as palpable as in Kiel during the Ocean Race fly-by in June 2023. Around 120,000 people came to the Kiel Fjord and 3,000 boats were on the water to be there up close. It's not for nothing that Kiel is considered one of the world's mega sailing metropolises.

Arved Fuchs starts OCEAN CHANGE 2025 expedition

Arved Fuchs und sein Segelschiff DAGMAR AAEN brechen zur nächsten Etappe ihrer Klima- Expedition auf. Bereits im zehnten Jahr setzt der Bad Bramstedter seine wissenschaftliche Expeditionsreihe OCEAN CHANGE fort, um die Auswirkungen des Klimawandels auf die Meere zu erforschen.

Björn Both for us at THW in front of 10,000 fans: “Nothing comes from nothing.”

In the end, THW clearly won the home game – but there were three other winners that evening: the German Committee of the UN Ocean Decade, the THW initiative För de Küste as host and host city partner of The Ocean Race Europe - and the Ocean Race Europe itself, which was announced by Björn Both. Björn is not only the frontman of Santiano, but a sailor himself and a tireless ambassador for marine conservation.
