Team Malizia and The Ocean Race in political Berlin
Let's set sail for a new Era of Hope! The freshly constituted German Parliament gathered for the the election of the new Chancellor Friedrich Merz only a few kilometers from the first German Ocean Conference was held this 6-7 May.
Being not only geographically close to each other, both events carried a lot of political energy related to Future, Ocean, Climate, Science and Action.
Not a racing yacht, but a research vessel
Team Malizia took the opportunity in that heated political atmosphere not only to address clear political messages about the urgency to protect and preserve our Blue Planet but also launched its latest "Climate Action Now!- Project": The Malizia Explorer sailing research vessel.

Team Malizia was actively contributing by sending signals of hope, excitement and optimism to the audience and in particular the encouragement of taking concrete action.
In addition to the fruitful talks and networking, team Malizia was particularly honoured to present and introduce our education programme to the new German Minister for the Environment, Carsten Schneider.
The team hopes that Ocean and Climate Topics will be addressed with seriousness and concrete measures and is specially looking forward to create impact and impulses for the Amitié Franco Allemand under the multilateral umbrella of the upcoming UN Ocean Conference in Nice/France in June.
