Förde Sparkasse
At the second largest savings bank in Schleswig-Holstein, around 1,100 employees cater to the needs of customers. The financial institution is characterised by a deep connection to the region and sustainable social commitment.
Since 1796, it has been our mission to help all people in the region to better organise their lives, beyond financial matters. Our focus is always on people. Sustainability is firmly anchored in our business strategy, as we take responsibility for our region and are actively involved in climate protection. Together with other savings banks, we have signed a voluntary commitment to sustainable business practices to support the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Our sustainable actions encompass economic, social and environmental aspects and are reflected in all areas of our business.
Förde Sparkasse – a sustainable partner
The Ocean Race Europe puts sustainability and ocean conservation at the heart of its agenda. The race uses its international reach to raise awareness of the pressing environmental challenges of our time. In particular, it focuses on the state of the oceans and the need for sustainable use of marine resources. This clear positioning sensitises the general public to the growing environmental problems. The preservation of the oceans is essential for the ecological balance of our planet, and events such as the Ocean Race Europe make a significant contribution to raising awareness of these important issues.
Förde Sparkasse supports this important event as a local partner. Our region, and Kiel in particular as the starting port, is closely linked to the sea, and the protection of marine habitats is of paramount importance, especially for the neighbouring coastal regions. For us, sustainability is not just a concept, but a commitment. That is why we are fully committed to preserving our environment and promoting sustainable projects.
