ACO WaterCycle – understanding water, protecting water
Water is the basis of all life and at the same time a resource that needs to be protected. With ACO WaterCycle, we create holistic solutions that preserve the water cycle: Our expertise ensures the sustainable use of water worldwide. This is in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goal SDG6 to ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for people worldwide.
ACO is an official ambassador for UN Sustainable Development Goal 6
Clean water is not only our goal, but also a global challenge, as water has a decisive impact on the quality of life of the world's population. That is why the United Nations has identified improving water quality as one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in its 2030 Agenda. ACO has been selected as an Ambassador Company for 2025 for the UN Sustainable Development Goal SDG6 “Clean Water and Sanitation”. This collaboration underlines ACO's global commitment to make each project part of the ACO WaterCycle and thus an ambassador for sustainable water management.
ACO and Ocean Race Europe – a race for water
For us, as a company deeply rooted in Schleswig-Holstein, the Ocean Race Europe is a fascinating sailing event that is linked to memories and our own sailing experiences. For ACO as a global water-tech company, it offers the opportunity to be the partner for concrete answers to the important data and insights that IMOCAS and the Ocean Race Europe partners collect and present. On site, we will invite everyone to an ACO Water Dome, which will showcase the possibilities that we can already use today to protect water and thus also protect the oceans. As a supporter of the sailing vessel ‘Carmelan’, which will be moored right next to the Water Dome, we will also be able to access the latest measurement data technology and thus address the challenges that need to be solved in the future in even greater detail.
A special feature of the partnership with the Ocean Race is the route of the TORE, as there is an ACO site near each of the stop-over harbours.
